Hello Owl Families,
We made it through the first full week of school. This week looks to be a hot one. Please make sure our Owls have plenty of water and wear the appropriate clothing. We will more than likely have indoor PE in the afternoons and indoor recess for lunch time.
Tomorrow, Monday, September 2, school is closed in observance of Labor Day. School will resume on Tuesday, September 3. Gates open at 7:30 and breakfast is served to everyone up until 7:45. We line up at 7:50 and school begins at 7:55. Don’t be late…be great!
We will continue with iReady testing this week. Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and eats a healthy breakfast!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Sky Zone PTA fundraiser. There were a lot of happy, sweating, smiling faces. And our President, Mr. Yates was pulverized in the dodge ball pit. Remember Mr. Yates…Dodge, Dive, Dip, Duck and Dodge!
Our next fundraiser is a favorite of mine…McTeacher Night at McDonald’s on East Valley Parkway and Ash. Save the date, September 18, from 3:00-6:00 PM. All items ordered inside or through the drive thru count for our fundraiser. I love walking around, speaking with our families and selling items. Want me to give you a shoutout? Come by and contribute and you will get a shout out!

Hola familias de búhos,
Hemos superado la primera semana completa de clases. Esta semana parece que va a ser muy calurosa. Por favor, asegúrense de que nuestros Owls tengan suficiente agua y usen la ropa adecuada. Lo más probable es que tengamos educación física en el interior por las tardes y recreo en el interior a la hora del almuerzo.
Mañana, lunes 2 de septiembre, la escuela estará cerrada en conmemoración del Día del Trabajo. La escuela se reanudará el martes 3 de septiembre. Las puertas se abren a las 7:30 y se sirve el desayuno a todos hasta las 7:45. Nos formamos a las 7:50 y la escuela comienza a las 7:55. ¡No llegues tarde... sé genial!
Continuaremos con las pruebas iReady esta semana. ¡Asegúrese de que su hijo duerma lo suficiente y desayune de manera saludable!
Gracias a todos los que vinieron a apoyar nuestra recaudación de fondos de la PTA de Sky Zone. Había muchas caras felices, sudorosas y sonrientes. Y nuestro presidente, el Sr. Yates, fue pulverizado en el foso de balón prisionero. Recuerden al Sr. Yates... ¡Esquiva, bucea, tírate al suelo, agáchate y esquiva!
Nuestra próxima recaudación de fondos es una de mis favoritas... McTeacher Night en McDonald's en East Valley Parkway y Ash. Reserva la fecha, el 18 de septiembre, de 3:00 a 6:00 p. m. Todos los artículos pedidos en el interior o en el drive thru cuentan para nuestra recaudación de fondos.
