Hello Owl Families,
We hope you enjoyed hearing about your child last week at conferences and if your child needs to work on certain areas please help them do that each night. Every day counts towards your child’s successful education!
This Friday Mr. Yates, our PTA President, will announce the final winning classes who leveled up with memberships. Classes will be rewarded when they reach 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the class having memberships. Help the school and help the students! Memberships are just $10. There is still time to join!
This week I will meet with each grade level to review behavior expectations with them. A major focus will be keeping our bodies to ourselves and language. We have seen an increase in students getting physical with each other and use of profanity and racial slurs. None of these are allowed on campus. If your child is found to be doing any of these you will get a phone call from me and we will solve this problem together. Our Owls are good people who at times make poor choices. We are partners and I hope to get your support with these subjects.
This week your positive behavior committee is meeting to discuss Halloween and what we will allow. I can tell you now that costumes must meet dress code and cannot have any weapons or be too scary. Masks will not be allowed. If you do not wish for your child to be a part of Halloween activities please know that we are working on alternatives for your child. More info in next week’s message.
Save the date…October’s PTA Family Night Out is Wednesday, October 23 at Jersey Mike’s on East Valley Parkway! More information is coming!
Our October Attendance challenge to come every day is going strong. If your child comes to school everyday in October they will be given a yummy treat! We hope they know to make Every Day Count!

Esperamos que haya disfrutado de escuchar acerca de su hijo la semana pasada en las conferencias y, si su hijo necesita trabajar en ciertas áreas, ayúdelo a hacerlo todas las noches. ¡Cada día cuenta para la educación exitosa de su hijo!
Este viernes, el Sr. Yates, nuestro presidente de la PTA, anunciará las clases ganadoras finales que subieron de nivel con membresías. Las clases serán recompensadas cuando alcancen el 25 %, 50 %, 75 % y 100 % de la clase con membresías. ¡Ayude a la escuela y ayude a los estudiantes! Las membresías cuestan solo $10. ¡Aún hay tiempo para unirse!
Esta semana me reuniré con cada grado para repasar las expectativas de comportamiento con ellos. Uno de los principales objetivos será mantener nuestros cuerpos en secreto y el lenguaje. Hemos visto un aumento en el número de estudiantes que se agreden físicamente entre sí y que utilizan blasfemias e insultos racistas. Ninguna de estas cosas está permitida en el campus. Si se descubre que su hijo está haciendo alguna de estas cosas, recibirá una llamada telefónica de mi parte y resolveremos este problema juntos. Nuestros Owls son buenas personas que a veces toman malas decisiones. Somos socios y espero obtener su apoyo con estos temas.
Esta semana, su comité de conducta positiva se reunirá para hablar sobre Halloween y lo que permitiremos. Puedo decirles que los disfraces deben cumplir con el código de vestimenta y no pueden tener armas ni ser demasiado aterradores. No se permitirán máscaras. Si no desea que su hijo participe en las actividades de Halloween, sepa que estamos trabajando en alternativas para su hijo. Más información en el mensaje de la próxima semana.

Nuestro desafío de asistencia de octubre para que vengan todos los días sigue en pie. Si su hijo viene a la escuela todos los días en octubre, ¡recibirá un delicioso obsequio! ¡Esperamos que sepa aprovechar cada día!
