Happy Mother's Day

Hello Owls,

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and those who are a mother figure.  You are doing an amazing job!  We hope you were spoiled on Mother’s Day!

This week we continue our state testing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.  Please make every effort to ensure your third, fourth or fifth grade student is here on time. We will take all third-fifth grade students through the cafeteria line so everyone has a chance to test on a full stomach.  Also, every student who is here for testing and does their best will be invited to an ATTENDance party!

This week we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week filled with goodies for all of our staff members.  On Friday we sent a blank thank you note for you and your child to write a thank you note to any staff member you choose.  It may be a teacher, noontime supervisor, or anyone that has made your day!  Feel free to ask for more if you want to thank multiple staff members or do anything you like for our staff.  If you want to help with this week’s lunch celebration, there is a sign up for supplying our staff with an amazing lunch on Thursday!

We are continuing with our May Attendance Challenge.  Every week your child is here for the full week they will earn a water balloon to throw at me, Mrs. Pitard, in June.  There are four weeks in May that are part of the challenge so they could earn four water balloons to throw at me.

We have seen an increase in aggressive behavior during soccer at all recesses.  Many students have lost the privilege of playing soccer for a week.  Please remind your child this is school and not the games you might play with a real soccer team.  I thank you for your support.

Well, that is all for today.  Have a great week Owls!
