Hello Owls,
I have a correction to make-up picture day. It is October 8th, not this week. Thank you for understanding.
When dropping off or picking up your child to or from school please do not park in the spots and walk across incoming cars. This puts both you and your child at risk. Please pull up to the curb and we will help get them out or into your car. Thank you!
When your child has a fever, diarrhea, or is vomiting please keep them home. Once the symptoms improve they may come back to school. Waiting 24 hours for the symptoms to be gone is no longer necessary.
September is Attendance Awareness month and one way we are celebrating is our poster contest. This contest ends this Wednesday, September 24. Create a poster on 8.5X11” paper that has the words Everyday Counts and a picture of what that means to you. The best poster will be sent to the district office to see if it is the best in the district. Please include your full name, grade, and teacher on the back of the poster. Everyone who participates will receive 5 Owl Slips.
Backpacks are to be worn on the backs. We have some students who are wearing them backwards and going on their cell phones or eating snacks. Cell phone use is not allowed during school which also includes after school in the YMCA. Cell phones may be used with permission to contact a parent about pick up. Food is eaten at the lunch tables only.
Ice Cream sales on Fridays continue to be popular but unfortunately the price of some of the popular ice creams have gone up. We will have a couple of ice creams available for $1 and some for $2.
Parent Teacher Conferences are coming October 9th and 10th. Teachers will start sending out a form to choose your time and date. If you have more than one child attending school you will need to sign up for a time slot for each child. If you need help please contact the office.
Well, that is all for now. Have a great week Owls!
